DAYTONA BEACH, FL
(May 3, 2022) – On Saturday, May 28th, the Daytona Beach Bandshell’s
2022 FREE Star Spangled Summer Concert Series presented by Boardwalk Merchants and Friends of the Bandshell will officially kick off the popular summer concert series by hosting the first free Saturday night concert of the 2022 Free Star Spangled Summer Concert Series. Back by popular demand, the night sky will come alive with the “Bud Light-Lights Up Daytona” fireworks display over the ocean after the shows. Concerts begin at 7:15 PM and fireworks over the ocean follows the concerts at 9:45 PM.
The Star Spangled Summer Concert Series is an annual free summer concert series that takes place on Saturday nights at the world’s most famous beach’s historic Bandshell located on the North end of the Daytona Beach Boardwalk and is an experience both locals and visitors alike look forward to every summer. The Star Spangled Summer Concert Series is known for bringing the best Tribute Bands to the beach and will begin the 2022 concert series on May 28th and continue every Saturday night through September 24th. The family-friendly concerts make for a star-spangled summer of fun for everyone.
On Saturday, May 28th the concert series will kick-off with Never Stop Believin’ – the Ultimate Journey Tribute Band. Journey fans that dream of seeing the lineup that dominated arenas worldwide in the late 70s, 80s and 90s won't believe their eyes and ears as Never Stop Believin’ plays mega hits like Any Way You Want It, Wheel In The Sky, Open Arms, Who's Crying Now, Faithfully, Lovin’ Touchin’ Squeezin’, Lights, and of course, Don’t Stop Believin’.
On June 4th, Friends of the Bandshell will recognize the service of our veterans and will commemorate the Bud Asher Memorial Celebration by honoring local veterans with a patriotic flyover and the singing of the National Anthem at the Bandshell.
On Monday, July 4th, Friends of the Bandshell will celebrate Independence Day with a show featuring Alter Eagles, an Eagles Tribute Band along with a special extended “Bud Light-Lights Up Daytona” fireworks display paired with patriotic music provided by 95.7 The Hog radio show. Happy Birthday, America!
The public is invited to bring their entire family. Attendees may bring their own chairs. VIP seat tickets will go on sale on Ticketmaster starting Friday, March 18. Ticketmaster will continue selling VIP tickets to each show through 2 PM the day before each show. Friends of the Bandshell will also sell VIP tickets at the Bandshell on the day of the show at 5 PM. VIP tickets are $10 per person.
Bandshell parking is available at the nearby Ocean Center garage and surface lots. Attendees parking in the Ocean Center garage can take the pedestrian overpass to the Bandshell, purchase concessions and drinks, and enjoy the live show!
Additionally, while appreciating cool evenings with live music under the stars, concert attendees may stroll the boardwalk, play skeeball or video games while enjoying food and drinks and the street performers on the world's most famous Boardwalk.
